Black Jasperware Wedgwood Scalloped Trinket Box (AS IS)

A Wedgwood black and white jasperware circular scalloped lidded trinket box, powder pot or pin dish featuring a large Neo Classical Greek and Roman Mythological scene on the lid and 8 smaller scenes around the sides. Unfortunately there are a couple of small chips on the edges of the lid and jar as is being sold AS IS.

This beautiful unglazed black jasperware was made by Wedgwood in England and features many applied raised white bas relief designs. 

The impressed back stamp says “Wedgwood, Made in England”. The diameter is approx. 12 cm (4 3/4) in) and 5.5 cm (2 1/4 in) high. The box feels heavy and weighs 350g (12.3 oz).
